November 7, 2021 Member Meeting to be held Virtually
For the health and safety of our members, and uncertainty with regard to member turn out, your Board of Assistants has decided to hold the November 7, 2021 member meeting virtually. The meeting will start at 1 PM on Sunday, November 7. Embassy Suites has generously consented to moving our contracted meeting date to November 6, 2022 without penalty.
We anticipate expeditiously moving through the business portion of the meeting to allow members to enjoy our unique and special program, which will follow the business session.
November 7 Program - Music of the Pilgrims by two members of Seven Times Salt
Even though we are meeting virtually we hope to present a program worthy of the 400th Thanksgiving. The program will be unique, consisting of historical facts about the Mayflower and its passengers, music of the 16th and 17th centuries and possibly some fiction.
Seven Times Salt has performed at various venues throughout New England including Plimoth Plantation, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
The group is familiar with the history of our forefathers and musical instruments of the era. Karen Burciaga, who will be the lead artist, was at one time a Plimoth Plantation reenactor. To receive the full benefit of the artist skills and knowledge it is anticipated the program will last a minimum of 45 minutes. Since the program will be presented virtually you will be able to come and go as you, please.
Further information on registration for the meeting will follow.
