"1620 – Natives and Newcomers: The Other Side of the Story"

Ms. Wurth volunteers regularly in the library at the Shawnee Indian Mission.  Her interest in American Indian culture began with a college course on American Indians for her Culture Anthropology major.  In the past several years she has spoken on the “The Immigrant Tribes of Kansas”, “The Wyandot Nation of Kansas”, and the Wichita Indians’ contact with Coronado in 1561.  So what about the Wampanoag and the White men 59 years later? Come hear the other side of the story.
