We are pleased to announce that our featured Speaker for the November 3, 2024 Compact Day Meeting will be Historian General Allie Golon.
Program: "From the Desk of the Historian General
 
Allie joined the General Society of Mayflower Descendants in 2015. She descends from Passenger Thomas Rogers and twice from Richard Warren. She has served as Historian for the Colorado Society for eight years and is currently their Deputy Governor.
 
During the Hurt Administration, Allie was the Chair of the Education Committee and for the past four years, has been a member of the Technology Committee where she continues to work on her “grand idea” for GSMD, the Easy App Generator, an online automatic tool for creating applications based on previously approved lineage which launched for use this summer. In 2022, then-Governor General Jane Hurt awarded Allie the Governor General’s Service Award.
 
Allie was elected Historian General in September 2023 and has strived to make numerous improvements to the entire application process both for historians and the verification staff and provide new member benefits such as the Passenger Inheritance Program.
 
Professionally, Allie is the Managing Director of a European software company. She and her husband, Bill, have successfully raised two boys and they enjoy RV-ing across the country together!
 
Membership Meeting will be held on
November 3, 2024 in Lawrence, KS at the
DoubleTree by Hilton, 200 McDonald Drive.
Social at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Luncheon at 12 noon
and the Meeting at 1 p.m.
 
This meeting will be in observance of the 110th Year Anniversary of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Kansas receiving their Charter, 1914 - 2024. 

A very deserving Kansas Society member, Carol Smith Leavitt, has been chosen to receive the Jane E. Groves Riddell Hurt Kansas Mayflower Pilgrim Award for excellence in promoting The Mayflower Society and Pilgrim History.
